When I get my A2 timetable, I'll colour it in and see if it helps at all. I'm not sure what colours I would have, all I know is that 12:00 Wednesday is going to be jet black with a :-( next to it because it is the longest time possible from the weekend.
There's a psychological term called "synaesthesia" whereby someone perceives something with a sense other than that usually associated with it, such as seeing a sound or hearing a colour. It's said that the painter Wassily Kandinsky painted music because that's how he "sensed" it. I don't associate colours with days but I do sometimes associate colours with numbers; seven is yellow and eight is green, for example. You'll have to ask a psychologist if this is "synaesthetic" or not!
not only one tracyh, i get synaesthesia with words and numbers and colours..[and i also have red/green colour blindness; it is interesting to check your colour loyalty; write down the alphabet and name the colour of each letter, also days of the week, numbers etc. Leave it for a month, then write out another list and compare; you may find that you are very loyal to certain combinations and not others, my yellow always associates with F, M, Monday, Friday, and 8 although the eight is a more creamy yellow.. yeah, quite mad. :-)
Thought I was the only one! Taking it one step further, anyone associate certain fruits with certain numbers? Bananas are a 3, apples 2 for me. Also, colours associated with right and left? Yellow is a definite left, blue is right. FInally, anyone ever wonder whether the colour that you see as purple is actually the colour somone else would describe as green? (Does that make sense?)
mondays are grey, tuesdays are purple, wednesdays are red, thursdays are green, fridays are orange, saturdays are yellow, and sundays are black... i don't know if i have synaesthesia becuz i haven't been tested, but i think i do.. and when i hear things i can see colours forming different things... not actual real objects or anything but im sure if i had any visual artistic talent the would be good if i painted these images...
