I live on the coast and each year seagulls have nested on our neighbours roof. The make a horrendous din every morning waking us all up at 5.30 ish but recently with all the rain and bad weather we have not heard a peep out of them ! Where do they go when it rains or are they still up there hiding under brollies??

They've probably popped over to South Beds for a hoilday!

Never heard so many Seagulls about as we have this year & we live nowhere near the seaside!

It's a lovely sound tho' & if we close our eyes, we could be in Dorset, Devon or Cornwall....
*holiday!

Have to agree with smudge Its a lovely sound the coast would not be same without their sounds and cheekiness.

Your welcome to them Smudge/Phrophet the early morning wake up calls are starting to do my head in!
That wouldn't really bother me BN, as I often have to wear ear plugs anyway, lol.

I love it when my brother phones me from Clacton as I can hear the seagulls in the background.....always makes me feel nearer to a holiday!
Something about this was on TV last week. Seagulls are coming inland and competing with pigeons for food.
