Is there a way to get rid/disable Kazaa's spyware and being able to still use it afterwards?

when you close the program, it leaves an icon in the system tray, if you right-click on it then select "close kaZaA" that should do it.

This doesn't get rid of the spyware, but it does disable it. I use Zone Alarm Pro and allow kazaa to connect to only TCP port 1214 (that's my port anyway). This prevents Kazaa from connecting to any banner sites, their start page, bonzi, and basically everything but your searches and dloads.
