Problem with Freeview Box

I have a Topfield 5800 PVR, and keep having problems with the BBC channels. Sometimes the reception through the box is great, and sometimes it is very poor and continually breaking up. Have recently changed to a better aerial, but the problem with the BBC channels still exists.

Any ABers any advice please? Thanks.

i get problems when a scooter goes past, my mate the same but with busses, do you live on a main road?

No, don't live on a main road, live on a side street off the main road. In our old house we used to have problems with the ITV channels when it rained. It is annoying and I wonder if it is something that we will just have to put up with.
Freeview can be very temperamental. In some ways good old analogue was better. The picture may have sometimes been grainy, but at least it stayed on. Have you done a postcode check for your area, to assess what the reception is supposed to be like? If not text your postcode to 83331, reply comes in seconds. Or try www.freeview.co.uk for same check on coverage. Sorry can't be of more help.

Thanks very much for reply. Have just checked the Freeview site and it says our area should get full coverage. If we switch over to analogue we get a great picture on the BBC1 and BBC2 channels, it's only through the Freeview box that we have a problem. It's not a massive problem, just a niggling little one!
