In channel 4 's early days there was an australian autobiographical series . The story told of the man's early years-harsh upbringing, adoption, living with aborigines and serving with the anzacs. Could someone tell me the name of the book /author it was based. It was widely available at the time(late eighties)

there used to be a terrible series called 'The Sullivans' is that the one?
Question Author
No, it waasn't the sullivans. This was a 'mini series' and based on a true story. I think it was called something like 'A very eventful life'
The title was "A Fortunate Life" based on the autobiography of the same name by Albert Facey. It was also presented on stage.

Thats great. Many thanks
