open the box .... look at the cooling fan/heatsink
if its full of fluff ... you need to clean it
be careful ... you musn't move the sink ... or you'll have to reseat using thermal paste.
a soft brush (I use wife's blusher brush ... big long NATURAL bristles ... not too stiff)
you might need to give the power unit a suck too ... use the vac for this ... but short bursts ... and make sure switched off (unplugged) - press on/off button .... then clean

Right .... it's your graphics card
1 do you have integrated or seperate graphics?
2 (likely) options
1 .... garphics card
2 .....Power unit
(could also be the mobo)
either way ... not easily proved...without hands on and spares
(also about 10000 other things it could also be)
From what you say ... something was failing .... and could well have resulted in corrupted data/drivers/etc
now it has failed ...
if the PC comes on ... but no video out
guess 1 is that it's the graphics card ... but ......
it that could be caused by other things
unless you have good bits you can swap might be a good idea to take it to a local mender ... see what they say
