Removing tuna smell from inside of bag

My tuna salad lunch managed to leak inside my bag (even though I'd put the box inside a carrier bag first) and now the inside of my bag smells of tuna. I've managed to sponge most of it off, but the smell is still there. How can I get rid of it? Will white vinegar neutralise the smell?

The outside of the bag is leather, the inside is polyester.

Can you turn it inside out and sponge it , then hang it on the line to dry ?

Best stuff for neutralising smells is bicarbonate of soda. If you put a few tablespoons in a piece cut from an old pair of tights, tie off with string or an elastic band and leave it in the bag overnight the bicarb should absorb the smell.

Thanks theonlyone - I sponged my bag out this morning and left it to dry inside out (not outdoors though - I didn't think I'd risk putting it on the ledge of my 4th floor office window!), but it still smells.
