It doesn't work like that mz destiny, everyone is different. Go out with your friends, have a girlie holiday away and generally enjoy yourself adn it will get easier.
Dont go looking for a replacement either as you won't find one right away, let time take it's course
There is no fixed time you cannot measure this, time is a healer and everyone is different your age also may have alot to do with it, the younger you are especially in your teens you will think its the end of the world as you get older it gets easier.
But hang in there you will be fine in time.
The best way to get over one man is to get under another...
No, seriously it just takes time. Although from past experience i would suggest that you do not 'tease' yourself. for example do not meet up with them 'to talk', do not go to places they will be, do not remain friendly with people just because they are connected to him in some way and whatever you do don't sleep with them again. it'll just make it so much worse.
i couldn't do it - dumped my bloke of 7 years (bit longer i know than you mz_destiny) but i took him back after 3 months of being apart apart... love i suppose .... still 1 1/2 years is still long enough if you've spent lots of time together and done lots of things??!!
Were it me:
one tub of cookie dough
14 cheap romance novels
6 chick flick movies
60 days
and
one night stand.....
Seriously though it depends on the connection. Methinks anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. Depends on you and what you are feeling, as well as how unexpected the break up is.
