Daily annoyances?
30 Answers
What are those tiny little phrases people say to you on a daily (or weekly) basis that bug you but you find you use them yourself?
Like when you are eating a salad and someone says 'Ooh that looks healthy'. Or on a Friday 'Don't worry. At least it Friday'.. or 'It's nearly the weekend'!
These things bug me but people in the office say it all the time.. I think it's just to make conversation!

I do this one a lot .. all the time in fact and it bugs me.. I say 'Hi, you alright'.. But it's not a question... I don't care if you're alright! It's a greeting!

Ruby, I get annoyed by those phrases as well, it's just so predictable, and you know it's coming and you still have to respond..
Anyway, my other innocuous but irritating phrase is "I'm fine thanks...... tired"
I never say now it but I used to.
"Tired"? You mean hung over, depressed, strung out, bored beyond belief, etc etc etc.
Yes! Just like everybody else then! Stuck here everyday! Weary, cynical, in general good health but harbouring an urge to set fire to the building and most people in it !
Well you're not the first and only person to feel that way so kindly just say you're fine or well or good and we'll leave it at that whilst having an unspoken understanding each other. Thank you.
grrr
