Hate someone? whats the best way to say something cool to put them down?

I'd like to know your opinions on the best way to put someone down with words. What's a really good statement or saying that will make the persons mouth drop?

I think it does depend on context - a reaction to something the other person has said does depend on being able to think quickly enough at the time. The definition of repartee? What you wish you;d said! If someone is really bugging you that much, then silence is often the best defence - if the other person is sniping at you, and you don't respond, you simultaneiously emphisise their nasty remarks, while maintaining your own dignity - an excellent combination. Best to ignore this person, and eventually their presence will cease to bother you.

I remember a friend (female) of mine had a shaved head prior to punk and a guy came up to her and said "whats that then - a statement?" in a boorish way, she replied "No, chemotherapy". Totally not true but it shut him up. However in a general way, my favourite is to say "sorry to interupt you but your wanted on the phone, your village is missing its idiot"
