Hi, In the story linked to below it talks about central banks "injecting cash" into their banking systems. What does this mean? I don't know a lot about this subject so please keep it relatively simple. Thanks.

If you click on one of the articles on the side it shows the European Central Bank pumped 63 billion into the market in the form of loans to the banks. I suppose it's a bit like you lending money to a few pals who haven't been able to repay you. You start to panic until a weathier pal steps in and lends you the money you to tide you over in the meantime.
thecorbyloon is absolutely right.
The reasons the European Central Bank and the treasury in US did this was to try and stabalise the markets and to stop the going into freefall. However more bad news may be on its way so may have to spend some more billions!!!!!!!!! hold onto your seat........
