I am pretty sure that I saw taxi's at the station, but the buses are very easy, the buses all leave just outside the railway station and were very modern, can't remember if they were the low ones that you can push the buggy on though, as I said my kids are now past that stage. Very easy to get about by public transport. Presume that you are flying into Shipol - you get the train direct to Leiden from the airpost (we passed through on the way from Leiden to Amsterdam). Then the buses seemed to be very frequent. You wait by the information boards and they show you which stop to go to for your bus and the buses appear at one of about 8 stances. We were at the Duinrell camp at wassenaar. All the facilities were really clean and overall things were quite cheap. If you are looking for places to eat, the pancake houses are very good and do food other than pancakes. Most other food tends to be fried and then smothered in Mayonaise or Marie Rose Sauce! Only downside is that the majority of Dutch children tend to be very immature and rowdy - they tend to rule and are not very well disciplined, but I suppose it depends on what you are used to! Hope you have a great holiday - if you need to know anything else, give me a shout.
