Bryan Adams. Manchester M.E.N. Arena. May 07
This is for anybody who was at the Bryan Adams concert in May this year, in Manchester. Or for that matter, any gig on this current tour. Was it just me, or is Bryan turning into a jukebox of his hit singles. The set was cram packed with all the hits and if my memory serves me right, no album tracks at all. I am not dissputing the fact that Bryan is a top performer, I've seen him 4 times now. What I am saying is, on the past tours he threw in lots of classic album tracks which in my oppinion are his stronger tunes. It will be interesting to know if anyone feels the same!

Brilliant concert. He was on stage for well over 2 hours.
He could certainly teach the young pretenders today a thing or two about putting on a live show.
He played all his greatest hits at the Glasgow show.
No major obscure album tracks as such.
I think his tour this year was a belated tour to promote his Anthology album which is basically his greatest hits.
His last studio album was Room Service. He played most of the songs off that album when he toured promoting that.
When bands tour they are mainly too promote their new albums and let their fans hear the new material live.
As Bryan had no new album, he played his hits.
I've yet to go and see an artist perform live in concert where they sing all my favourite songs in one show.
Until the next tour and album. . . rock on.

It's just tha there's so many great songs on the albums. "Native Son" from Into The Fire for instance or "long Gone " from reckless which was allways a concert fave. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Bryan cos I'm a massive fan, and you're right, he allways gives value for money. As for promoting the anthology album, if you think about it, he's been doing that on every tour! Bryan is worth much more than a going through the motions tour! p.s. i'll still be there next year!!!
