Fairy Moss in Pond
For years I have suffered fairy moss in one of my ponds though my other one only about 3 feet away never has. Has anyone any idea how I can get rid of this once and for all? No use suggesting I net it as the pond is fairly large and well establishes with overhanging plants so even if I thought I had it all there would still be some left. Dies off in winter but always reappears next year. Don't know where it came from as I certainly haven't put it in!

I had the same problem and had to constantly remove it every day for about 2 months. As you said it dies during the winter, but the seeds lie dormant and 'overwinter' at the bottom of the pond.
Weedkiller is a 'no no' because of your other plants and the pondlife.
The seeds can be carried on birds feet, so thats probably how you got it.
