I'm teaching my friend guitar, and he's already quite good, but I want to teach him some simple two chord songs. The only two chord song I know is ''Songbird'', by Oasis, which is G and then Em. Anyone know any others? Please include chords.

I have no idea how many chords this is (think its 4) and i only know them by frett number as opposed to chord name - but how about Stand by Me? I can play that on guitar and I learnt it 4 years ago - if I can learn it, then he can. Its great as everyone knows it so you can play it perfectly as everyone knows the notes so well.

cheers guys, but I seriously need 2 chord songs. He's more of a riff guitarist. I've tried teaching him 3 chord songs, but they don't go through. I want to teach him about 10 two chord songs over the summer, and then move onwards and upwards after that.

D'Yer Wanna Be a spaceman is pretty simple-- if you slow it down (for a beginner) songbird is 4 chords... also a pretty simple strum along....wonderwall.
