I have been claiming job seekers allowance for a couple of months after being made redundant. I have now been offered a position which does not start until 17th September. When do I tell the job centre that I have the offer, and do I keep getting JSA now I have the offer? I need the money until I start my new job but do not want to be in trouble for making a false claim! Please help!!!

You tell them the great news that you've found a job, but that it doesn't start until 17th September. They will stop hassling you to make applications, but will continue to fund JSA until 17th. Seriously, this is not a problem. You will have to continue to sign as normal.
When I signed on a few years ago and I told them I would be starting a job a month or so in advance they gave me a 100 voucher to go and buy new work clothes!
