Returning a Used Car
I bought a used car at a reputable company. The same day I picked up the car I discovered the service book, which contained the service history of the car, was not in the car. I enquired about it, and they endeavoured to ask the previous owner. The owner lost the book therfore no service history exist. The company however traced some of, but not all, the service history by contacting the garages where the car was serviced - and got computer printouts of the services. This has happened over 2 weeks after picking up the car. I however do not want the car now, becasue I have no guarantee that the car has a complete service history. Do I have a legal right to return the car? By the way I returend the car to them after six days and said I will pick it up once the documents of the service history had been sorted. Therfore my question whether I have a legal right to return the car.

Because the car was from a reputable company I assumed that it had a full service history- but subsequently are still sitting with one service short. The dealer promised he would endeavour to get it, but I think as soon as I take the car, that would be it for me.
