Is there a term for a person who believes in a God but doesn't believe in religion and just reckons that if they listen to they're conscience then God will look after them.
Spinoza's God or Naturalistic Pantheism is basically that all existance is some manifestation of the Universe, a lot of scientists like Einstein tend to fall into this sort of thought. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturalistic_pant heism
I didn't mean to contradict you there - I think that's the concept of a God that doesn't invove himself with the world pretty much implies the rejection on most religion with the probable exception of Budhism.
I think the problem is that the concept of an afterlife is a little vague or non-existant in some of these.
I'm not sure of a belief that rejects a personal God but accepts a notion of heaven.
I think it may bepend on what styley means by religion - after all a religion is basically just a group of people with the same supernatural beliefs
