I was approached by a friend who is going to buy a pup and asked me about getting the breeder to use the name they had selected for the pup prior to them taking possession. I dont know what to advise - simply I cant see any advantage in doing it or infact any reason not. Can anyone give me some advice in this?

Bit daft idea really our pup was 1 of 9 and can you imagine the breeder calling all the different names to the pups Plenty of time when they get it home and on its own
I always give my pups names, even if its only a nickname (such as fluffy, or big boy) so I can call them separately, and if the new owners tell me what they want them called I will use them. You'd be surprised how much they know, and will soon get used to a name. I think its a great idea to tell the breeder.
