Setanta Sports

Last Saturday we took out a subscription to Setanta Sports. So far, we have not received a signal on any of the channels for more than a few minutes, and even then it is only one channel at a time. We have rung the customer servikce centre every day, with the promise of getting the signal resent. Currently, when I try and get through, there is a recorded message saying that due to high demand, allof the customer advisers are busy! Is that because they are encountering lots of problems? Are any other ABers having difficulties too?

Minutes before kick-off the signal encrypts - WTF!! So I try to ring them and got rudely cut-off every time I selected the "I am a current subscriber" option (I tried all the other options as well!) - could not get through to an intelligent lifeform at all, despite many attempts. I can't believe they were *so* busy for several hours on a Saturday night.
So I decided to send them an email saying how disappointed I was etc. and that I will probably consider cancelling now because I didn't get to see the game I wanted to watch.
The signal actually came on about 10 mins from the end of the game and it's been ok since, but they certainly haven't given me a good impression of their business, and they never bothered to reply to my email. I guess it must have been a shock to them that people actually wanted to subscribe for the Premiership games ???
All in all, 2 out of 10 so far.

I'm pleased to report that we finally have Setanta after almost a week and numerous phone calls. I got through to an intelligent lifeform at the call centre who ran through some checks with me on our telly's set up, plus checking on the signal strength, quality etc. Success at last, but it has been a torturous process. I think their customer service dept needs a lot more staff to handle all the calls and all the staff are obviously not trained to the same standard.
