elizabethan explorer documents

i live right by the national maritime museum and have strolled through their corridors a thousand times.... i was wondering if some of the other museums in london have any exhibits from that wonderful elizabethan age, when our boys where out there exploring and making a nusance of themselves..... i would love to see soem more portraits and documents from that time........ ?
