Budgies
3 Answers
One of my budgies is scratching all the time. She has been treated for mites but is still scratching and under her wing is bleeding badly I took her to the vet but because she was breathing heavily, he didn't want to pick her up, but he gave her some antibiotics which have not done any good.
Because the vet wouldn't pick her up, he couldn't confirm that it was mites. I don't know what else to do, could anyone help me, please.

There is a budgie forum, perhaps someone on there may help

I don't have budgies, but I do have parrots, and one started pulling all her feathers out and scratching because she was bored, so you could always try putting toys in the cage. If you keep the budgies together and only one is affected it's unlikely it's mites, and the antibiotics probably rules out an infection, although it is possible your bird has caught her wing and cut it, in which case she'll worry the wound, just like a kid will pick a scab.
