Warmer floor tiles
2 Answers
I'm sure that I've read/heard you can get some stone floor tiles which are slightly warmer to the touch than standard ones. (I walk around barefoot a lot lol)
Can't find anything on Google, tile distributors etc. Just keep coming across underfloor heating sites.
Anyone got any ideas??

Stone tiles feel cold because they are a better conductor of heat than wood, textiles or rubber. The surface temperature is the same. So when you stand of them, more heat gets pulled out of the bottom of your feet and moves into the stone material, which needs a lot of heat to change its temperature by one degree.
So any 'stone' tiles that feel warmer must (IMHO) be some composite of stone and another material like rubber, or be the material that looks like stone but isn't. More than that, I don't know what this product might be.
