Ed's removal of answers

I've just had a second answer removed from AB by the Ed. I am completely puzzled as I never post anything that anyone could object to, ie racist, sexist, controversial. I've only ever answered questions trying to help folks out! I sent a message asking the reason for removal, but have had no response. Wouldn't it be a good idea for Ed to email us at the time of removal explaining the reason? I am really fed up.

I agree. An email stating why and which answer would be helpful. Apparantely I've had 3 answers removed but I can't for the life of me remember which ones so can't even wonder why!

Thanks, Pirate1, I'm not alone then. It has just made me angry, as some of the stuff I read on here is quite racy etc and by comparison any answers I have given are quite tame!

Agreed! I have never given a rude or abuse answer, and indeed wouldn't so how some are kept on here and three of mine have been wiped somewhat bemuses me!!

maybe through no fault of your own your answer was accidentally posted twice - this has happened to me. In that case one would be removed.

When a whole thread is wiped because it became offensive/abusive, your totally innocent contribution to it is wiped, too. It may be something as simple as that.

usually just a software glitch at AB - it doesn't necessarily mean you've actually posted something twice yourself.

I've only posted 7 questions (ie. when I really need an answer) and one of those has been removed.

No reason given...strange....
