My bay tree has yellowing leaves and white fluff on the branches. the tree is about 15ft tall and fairly substantial -if it is diseased and needs spraying its going to be hard to do.

Help - should I get the scaffold ready?

Hi,
The yellow leaf problem sounds like your bay tree could be suffering from a lack of iron in the soil, to rectify this add 'sequestrne'.

The white fluffy stuff could be Wooly aphid or the similar Adelgid, a spray with 'Malathion' should clear it up.
