Charter is when someone or a holiday company books a whole plane for a one off trip. The Arsenal football team would charter a plane for the team and staff to take them to Norway. Thomas Cook would charter a plane for 6 months of the year to take people to spain from Luton. A schedule flight is when the plane is schedule to leave at a set time regardless weather it is full or not, BA 026 leaves London to New York everyday at 7am and so on. The low cost is just a time table of schedule flights that are low cost, no free meals or drinks and if the flight is cancelled due to poor weather or there are no crew - tough- no go unless they can find you a place on another flight but they dont have to. Low cost big risk
