limescale in the toilet

How can I get rid of a build of of limescale in my toilet? I've tried scrubbing it, bleach, usual loo cleaners, bloo block etc etc
Please help as it looks awful

You can also get toilet cleaners in the form of a tablet which you leave to fizz away over night - something like that may help too. Robert Dyas should have a good selection. Also I find Waitrose really good for things like that.

If it's really bad, get your marigolds on & attack it with a pan scourer or even a knife. Scour between each overnight soak with limescale remover & eventually you will shift it. I speak from experience!
Then give it a rub with the loo brush every day to keep it at bay.
Best of all, install a rainwater catchment system so there's no lime in the water!

When we had a pub we used Spirits of Salts... You get it from Iron Mongers (and some shops like Dyas or Leyland) it is an acid and the fumes are really strong... But it cleans everything (and I mean everything -no matter how old) I moved into a flat recently with a nasty brown toilet and chucked it down and its pristine now...
