My son -age 22 and daughter 18 lost their dad at 2pm yesterday when a horsebox pulled out in front of his motorbike. He was 50.
I am frightened to go to sleep.............its a bad dream -please-isnt it?.

The people who were driving the horsebox were at fault -they have deprived my children of their dad.He will never see their their children. He will never walk J up the aisle. He will never see what they have achieved. They have in one fell swoop altered my childrens lives for ever and mine as well (although we were divorced we remained close as parents and as friends).
I have NEVER been so bereft.

I am at a loss as to how to deal with this.........

Thank you all -in the words of the great Hothouse Flowers -on this occasion it 'Didnt get easier in the morning'

Ive had my daughter all morning and she absolutely does not believe her dad is dead. The local paper have printed a photograph of his 'bike'-J has phoned and vented her anger on them and then I did as well -what was their agenda -they cant answer.
Its a total nightmare.
O man -I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.
I am getting comfort from your words -I cant thank you all enough -I am just waiting now for my 2 fantastic brave children to realise they wont see their dad again -only thing is his body isnt being released until Thurs or Fri -thats when they can see him for the first time and thats when its gonna be when I become mum and dad -for the rest of my days.Wee souls.

Bless the pair of them.............my heart is broken for them......they dont know what they are gonna miss but I will be there every step of the way for them -regardless.
Dris, my thoughts really are with you. I sent you a better message elsewhere. I hope you all manage to get through this difficult time, love to you and yours x
Drisgirl,
So, so sorry to hear of your tragedy!
Nothing anyone can say can make things better.
Only glad that you are there for your kids, no matter what their ages.
I heard about the accident from a friend this morning, then saw it in the local newspaper.
That must have been the final blow for you and the kids.
Glad that you all have each other to lean on to get through this nightmare.
Take care.
