I was born in ENGLAND, and I AM ENGLISH, I don't like the French, although I am entitled to a French passport. EVERY official document I get I put 'ENGLISH'.
It annoys me to hear off people living here, running my Country down. If its so bad Why the Hell are they here??
The worse thing about England, is that it's too soft a touch for the Rif-Raf of Europe, and ALL partys are to blame for that.

I totally agree with those that say their English, Scottish etc, and proud of it,
One has to ask what the idea was, behind this ludicrous idea.
I saw a paper a couple of years ago, (not newspaper), afraid I can't find it on the net, where Britain was split into areas, (Regional Assemblies?), no nation states, Scotland and Wales were areas, each being known by their national names, England was split into about five areas, each with its own name, and the name England was history
It might sound ludicrous, but under this goverment, anything is possible.

To answer the original question:
Blood-wise I'm (rather interestingly), a quarter English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh [with a little sprinkling of Spanish somewhere in the Irish sector I think].
Though to be fair I'm just taking into account my immediate family (parents and grandparents either side) - like everyone in the UK, I'm likely a total mish-mash of all sorts. I'd be very interested to find out some day.
Place of Birth? South east England.

I have the option to tick a box for British or Other in many forms... I choose Welsh and thats accepted!
No offence but I do not feel patriotic towards the British flag just as I don't feel patriotic to be European. If anyone on my hols asks me where I am from I say Wales. My flag has a dragon on it, my national anthom is 'Hen Wlad Fy'n Nhadau' ... my first language is Welsh and I speak it daily fluently.
I AM WELSH!
