hi.....plz cud sum1 help,many moons ago i remember my dad playing a song that has stuck with me for over 20years,i have never heard it since and am slightly dodgy at remembering the lyrics,from the words i do remember it is a story about a taxi driver that has 2 pick up his ex girlfried from an address and is reluctant to do so....it goes sumthing like this.........."control this is 6-7 hear i can hear u loud i can hear u clear,the girl of my dreams ____ ____ ____ ____ ____and number 8-3 is where she made her home ,is there somting else u want me to doooo,yeah,u know im only hear 2 plz uuuuu..............so if there is any1 that cud help me with the name of the song and the artist that wud be great...thanks.......tobyone

Hi tobyone,

Another useless fact is that there were TWO versions of this song recorded, one for the UK with a good old brummy accent Driver and one for the US with the group attempting a poor US accent !

If you are trying to buy this track, watch out for cheap compilations where you might end up with the US version... nowhere near as good as the UK original !!!
