hi, i asked this in motoring but no one is answering me, my car was damaged due to a car parked beside it catching or being set on fire in the middle of the night, who's insurance company pays for my losses

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.when i reported it the woman in the call centre thought it would be my insurance, she said it wasnt the other cars fault as it was parked up and the owner didnt do anything wrong, im really hoping she's a numpty, i only have 3rd party fire and theft, the other car is fully comp, i want a hire car because why should i have no car, other cars insurers say they wont deal with it until tuesday because of the holiday,
so far its going badly, the other company is saying they are not liable, my company is now saying they are, as my 3rd party fire and theft doesnt cover damage caused by fire if my car wasnt on fire,(windows melted out, bumper melted, trim melted, wing mirror melted, and heat damage to drivers seat) i dont have the legal cover, the car is/was worth �3000, someone is supposed to phone me tomorrow from car hire company, so at least im getting that. ive been carless for 5 days now, oh and the other cars owners apologised to me and gave me their insurance details,
