Well a 4Gb ipod holds twice as much as a 2Gb ipod :-)

But it impossible to say how much they will hold as it depends what you are storing on them.

Video files take up much more space than mp3 music, so a 2Gb movie file would fill up a 2Gb ipod.

And mp3 files can vary in size depending on the quality of the file and also the length of the track. So a 2 minute track at low quality will take up less space than a 7 minute track at high quality.

The Amazon site below says a 2Gb ipod will hold 500 songs and therefore a 4Gb will hold 1000 songs.
