Telling porkies (lies) or not

Years back someone whom used to tell lots of stories once said that a friend of his made a drinks cabinet from an old wardrobe.....has anyone done this before or should I add a pinch of salt?

I haven't done it myself but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. I'm sure someone who's good with nails and a saw would have no problem.

i knew someone that made a portable drinkls cabinet from an old record player case.

Mr Overall made a garden bench from an old cot so I guess there's no telling what someone with ingenuity could make.
I have to add that Mr O's handiwork was total cr@p - who wants a yellow garden bench with a twee bunny rabbit on it. It's disappearance is still a mystery in our household but my personal view is that it may accidentally have fallen into a skip outside my sister's house half a mile away.
