OOh well done indieanna, I was just going to echo the other replies.
As you will have worked out, no job, whatever it is, is worth any stress, especially stress you take home with you.
You come first, look after yourself otherwise you will find yourself unable to work for anybody.
Rent problems can be sorted if you do find yourself in difficulty - speak to the landlord, explain the problem, pay something, which is better than nothing. Keep him updated too.
Get yourself signed up with an agency - people will always need nursery helpers, cooks, washing up workers, receptionists. If you feel unqualified (sorry, I don't know if you are or not) for some jobs you like the look of you will be surprised what a smart outfit, positive outlook, honesty and a nice smile will get you.
I can assure you you will get a temping job pretty instantly; you will have to wait probably a week or so to get paid but at least you can do as much or as little as you like.
In the meantime, get a good CV typed out, go through the phone book and knock on doors as well as trawling all the job ads you can get your hands on. The right attitude will get you what you need and you will look back on this and not believe you stuck it out as long as you did.
My favourite saying "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"
Well played, brave girl !!!!!!!
