does anyone think cassette tapes could make a comeback, sometimes i think, they are better ,not so much perhaps with music,but learning languages, i think they are at an advantage

No I definately don't think they will make a comeback. Why do you think they are at an advantage?

I assume piccadilly, because when you press stop and the start (at any point in the future, now tomorrow, 2 years) they will start at exactly the same place.

To my knowledge none of the other alternatives do this consistently.

My sony walkman cd player starts again from where the disc stopped.

I would never go back to either video or audio tape.
