how do i know what disc should i use to burnd dvds with sonic recorder i did not install it, it was already installed on my pc should i use minus r plus

You don't mention what you want to burn in specific detail. If you are burning your own DVD's from camcorder then use -r and don't protect them in the progs options menu if it is there. If however you are ripping and burning copyright DVD's good luck and wait for a knock on your door!
