can anyone remember the characters names the only one I remember is Miss Popoff

The Jester was called Timothy Claypole. The Normal bloke, who'd just become a ghost at the start of the show was Called Mumford cannot remember his first name. The Witch was Called Hazel MacWitch. There was a Pantomime Horse and Nadia Popov was played by the same woman who plays Audrey Roberts in Corrie. There was an elderly married couple called the Perkins' who crossed swords with the Ghost's from time to time. That's all I can remember. Their boss who was alive was called Mr Meaker.

I can remember Timothy Claypole, Hazel the McWitch, Fred Meaker and the Pantomine Horse, but after Googling, I discovered a few more that jogged my memory. I was also shocked to discover that the actor, Michael Staniforth who played Timothy Claypole died of AIDS in 1987.

Was flicking through the answers, I used to watch Rentaghost as a child as I was completely besotted with Timothy Claypole(Michael Staniforth) I am gutted to read that he died in 1987, have mulled on that such a lot over last few days. I did wonder why I had never seen him on TV since. With his cute pixie face and impish smile I have always thought of him as my 'ideal man' (love beards!!) what a shame, what a sad sad shame.
