This is an old film I saw when I was really young,I can't remember the plot but I recall at the end of the film Barbra Stanwyck was being pursued by a man intent on killing her.She's in her bedroom and she can see the shadow of the man out to get her coming up the stairs and the film ends with her screaming hysterically.This has been bugging me for years.

It's called "Sorry Wrong Number". Barbara Stanwyck plays a bedridden women who overhears a conversation on the telephone between two men. One man is paying the other to kill someone. She phones people- the police, neighbours, and so on- and tries to get them to believe her but no one does. Eventually she finds out that one of the men she heard is her husband and that she is the intended victim. But it's too late...

johngammon - it's just possible that Derek Lowe doesn't know about imdb.com. Ever considered that? Derek - as johngammon meant to tell you but somehow forgot, there's a website called www.imdb.com which has tons of info about films, actors etc. Worth checking out!
