Power connectors
It has always been my understanding that a power supply either has a P1 power connector or a P8 AND a P9 connector. I have just acquired a computer that has both a P1 and a P9 along with the 4 pin cpu plug no P8. They are all connected to the mobo. What exactly is going on here?

then came the more powerful graphics cards .... CD/DVD drives ... and better soundcards ... they eat power.
