my pc wants to run disc check when booted up

my pc wants to run disc check every time it's booted upbut the problem is it will only go to 13 % then stops I have left it over night and it's still the same ??
Anyone know what I can do ??

the first easier one
1. click on your start menu and open the run dialog.
2. type "cmd" and return (note: dont enter quotes)
3. Next type "fsutil dirty query c:"
4. If the return message indicates that the volume is dirty go to step 5
5 type "CHKNTFS /X c:". The X tells Windows to NOT check that particular drive on the next reboot.
6. After that finshes repeat step 3.
7. If it is no longer dirty then reboot and you should see no more ckdisk.
the problem then is .... you quite probably do have a problem ... so go to disk properties | tools ... and check the disc properly
If still no joy - and only as a last resort
