I've got a major beastie virus on my PC, and my repaprer advises that WinMX is a major source of such viruses. So, I download old singles, and the occasional new song, but very little, and no albums,  games or movies. Apart from Kazaa, which is almost as bad it seems - can anyone reccomend a suitable P2P System which won;t let any geeks trample all over my hard drive? Thanks.

Limewire.com I can recommend also heard good things about soulseek

None. P2P by its very deffinition means you download things from other people, people that cannot be trusted. At all.

Get a competent antivirus.

Oh and by the way, these "geeks" that trample all over your hard drive are actually retards who fail to immunize their system properly and allow viruses and worms that they're infected with to be downloaded by others.

These same geeks that you frown upon are also the people who are providing you with all of these singles and songs that you're downloading for free.

DC++ is good but very slightly less simple.

Kazaalite K++ is really good, you can download everything you can with regular Kazaa but without the spyware/adware etc...
