Hi All. Was at the doc today as I've had a lot of pain lately. Turns out a tooth that is missing a filling has infected my jaw, cheekbone and the right hand side of my face.
I asked him if that could also cause the discomfort on my spine, and it turns out that it wouldn't, but I also have shingles...
Feeling really down just now, so can i have a little sympathy and a few 'shake out of it man' comments please?
Oh, and by the way - the next time you think about complaining about the NHS: a lot of you will know I'm Irish. Our system of health is somewhat different to yours. I had to pay the doctor 50 (30??), and then go to the chemist. My prescription cost 284 (~180). I'll get some of this back eventually, but next time you get hit with the 6.65 prescription charge count your blessings!
Hi Whicker, don't usually hang around here, but my sympathy to you especially with regard to shingles. Been there and done that. Not nice!! Hope you feel better very soon.
Yes, the painkillers, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, and antivirals seem to have really worked. My face is a lot better - can get the 'root' cause dealt with now. And the shingles seem to be clearing up too, thankfully they were more of a nuisance than anything. It's been a long week but hopefully it's finished now.
Thanks to you all for your incredible support - i was really touched by you all. :)
