Spanky by Christopher Fowler. A supernatural thriller on a modern day Faustian theme. A daemon promises to transform a bloke's life, granting success, and seemingly asks nothing in return. But of course there is always a price to pay, and things turn nasty, leading in a race to stop terrible things from happening.

I would look at anything from James Patterson. At girl I work with has got me hooked on his books and I picked up a lot of old copies from charity shops. I loved his book STEP ON A CRACK and I am just starting his new book - THE QUICKIE - which I got from Asda and I have just read HP7 - I couldn't put it down and that's what I've found with Patterson's. He has the Alex cross series and The Women's murder club sries and individual self-contained storues too
For page turners ... Dr Blockbuster recommends THe Lazarus Strain by Ken McClure, the first Bird Flu thriller .. and you can read all at http://www.blockbusterbooks.co.uk/1.html
