"draw verb (past tense drew , past participle drawn, present participle drawing) ...5 to open or close (curtains)

So it means both.

oo that was quick! Hmm, so I guess it means both then if it's in Chambers'. I wasn't sure, obviously, and this thread would indicate that quite a lot of people aren't either.

Thank you! I can now ask for my curtains to drawn either way with no cause for anxiety!
