mp3 !! why wont it play on my computer?

I have a disc that has music on it as mp3 was told i could play it on my computer but it wont. Why?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It's a data disk, not an audio disk, so when you put it in your CD drive it won't play automatically. (Your PC simply recognizes it as a collection of files, just the same as if it contained pictures).
Open the tracks in the same way that you'd open picture files. Double-click 'My Computer'. Double-click the icon for your CD drive. Double-click on the mp3 file you want to play.
Perversely, even though it's a data disk, if you put it into an mp3-compatible CD player, it should play as if it was an audio disk.
