My gran died just over a year ago, however my auntie has been dreaming about her more often than ever. In her most recent dream, she was sure my gran was in the room, but when she looked at her, she appeared to have no iris part of her eye. My auntie would like to know if anyone knows about this sort of stuff, and could suggest what it may mean. Will be very greatful, on any suggestions, thanks
Seems that it may be linked to the whole 'eyes are the window to the soul' thing, and is just a representation that your aunt is coming to terms in her own mind with the fact your gran's passed on.
There's also some link to blank eyes and coming into good fortune...?
according to my dream book, Strange or disembodied eyes in a dream are considered a prediction of a very beneficial change of events soon to come, pity they weren't crossed, that's a lucky omen for money matters.
No Emily - you have to remember it's not your gran's dream, it's your aunt's. So any symbolism therein refers to your aunt's state of mind only. What I meant was that it seems that she was maybe having trouble accepting your nan's passing, but is getting there now.
Emalee - I think Whickerman is right. Dreams of departed loved ones are pretty common, and I wouldn't read too much into the fact that your gran appeared to have no iris to her eyes.
