Indents from the sofas

We have recently moved two sofas from one room to another. The room were they were has marks on the carpet, where the pile has been crushed because of the weight of the sofas. Anyone any ideas how to "fluff up" the carpet please? Thanks.

I use boiling hot water and a clean dry cloth. Water stains carpets so I didn't like the sound of leaving ice cubes on the carpet till they melted but someone told me to pour the hot water on the carpet and rub dry with the dry cloth and when dry hoover. It worked for me.
