Can we we re-phrase 'banning'?

I'm sure we have all has something 'banned' from here be it question or answer but the term banned is so damning. Why can't they simply be 'removed' with a brief, standard description of why?

well that would mean I would have to change my back-up id from banned-dot to removed-dot and it doesn't send out quite the same message. When I use banned-dot I am making a strong statement against unnecessary reporting of innocent posts and the resulting banning of their id just out of jealousy and spite, I think, lost my train of thought now..................I have had to sit in an airoplane on the tramac at heathrow for an hour because 4 stupid people checked their bags in but didn't make the boarding deadline and so the bags had to be taken off !!!
