Didn't Maddie just wander off drugged up on sleeping pills?

If have read lots of opinions on whether the Mc Canns killed her or hid her body, and that they do come across guilty. But I think they look guilty because they left her alone many nights crying by the sounds of it, they didn't use the baby sitting service available at the hotel, they also decided to give her drugs to help her sleep so she would not cry out like other nights.
As a result they came back to find her missing, she could have wandered off drugged up and drowned, fallen down and hole/new building foundation which were all round their hotel. Or she was picked up by someone who wanted her for sexual reasons, to sell her as a child slave, or for childless parents who cannot have children. Maddie may have just been a financial gold mine drugged up and easy to grab.
As a result they are responsible for her going missing because they left her and drugged her. She just left the apartment to find her parents as the drugs had altered her thoughts she forgot to stay in the apartment like she was told. Just like being drunk really she wandered off not know what she was doing or where she was going. The Mc Cann must realise this is the case and that is why they have pushed the fact someone has taken her from the room, because they do not want to admit to themselves or others that they were responsible for her leaving the apartment and therefore it is all their fault. If they admitted to leaving and drugging they might face prision, losing their highly paid jobs, losing their home etc and the twins going into care, they weighed up the options...that's what doctors do!
Do people agree this might be the case, or am I wrong?

You are absolutely right - that's exactly how children think, and that precisely what they do. I do think the parents have behaved oddly throughout, and that I cannot understand at all, but no one knows the truth yet, and anything is possible so I keep an open mind on the outcome. However, despite the unnecessary disagreement here, I'm pleased people are interested enough in current affairs to continue to debate this, and just about every other subject they think of.
It is very possible she wandered off and that someone snatched her during a "crime of opportunity". But this doesn't go with the speculation that she was drugged by her parents,as I said in a previous post if they had drugged her she would have remained asleep as they would know exactly how much of a sedative to give her to keep her well and truly asleep with both of them being doctors.
I would really like to think that they didn't do it. I have already posted a thread of my own on the horrors some parents inflict on their kids, but that doesn't make them guilty but the more I read the more it would seem that, at the least the parents are weird and at the most they did it. Or rather he did.
Unfortunatly we only have the british media for information and we all know how excited they can get.
Conan Doyle once wrote this famous line "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth? "
Is this the case or are the police just getting lazy and want the case closed?

well, its weird how they have showed very liottle emption, i havenet seen them distraught once, not even at the first press conference when they were appeaing for information. Maybe they are forcing themselves to be composed but it would have dampened speculation about them a bit had they allowed themselves to show more public emotion. Lets hope they catch whoever did it or find out whaterver happened real soon.
I don't think we'll ever find out. Everything so far has been odd and I think all the theories are very far fetched, however, I do agree that the parents are at least guilty of neglect. I don't think I would have gotten away with leaving my son, don't see why they should just because they have respectable jobs!
I'll wait and see, it's maddie and the other children we should feel sorry for, they are the innocents in this thats for sure!

I don't think a neglect charge would stand up, considering how many parents do leave their children alone, even for a couple of minutes, in the house or car, admittedly, mostly without them going missing, but 'there for the grace of God' etc, and as for the doping speculation, has any grounds for this arisen?, if so, i'd be interested to read it.
agree wiith meglet, its not the uk and not uk laws, and if it was my child i would take every media chance to make it purposeful,we have this thing about beleieving everything the media throws at as, be it video telly and the papers, it must be right cos they have said so, nothing to do on how much money they will make on the sales, come on they would have to be houndini to make getting rid of maddie viable, but yet again she was a ivf baby as her siblings, why did they bother having her or her twin brother and sister if she was such a burden!
Well I certainly don't think that leaving any child alone is the cleverest of things to do. What if they had done it at home and gone to the pub? Imagine the outcry then.
The fact that they were on holiday shouldn't make an iota of difference. It's not the first time we've seen cases like this though. Parents even going on holiday and leaving their kids at home has been in the press before.
The fact is, you don't leave your kids on their own because they are at a vunerable age and anything could happen to them. A quick drink, a quick walk, a check every now and again equals the same thing - You are leaving your kids on their own.
If the McCanns did have nothing to do with this, they would have learnt a valuable lesson as would many parents around the world.

I seriously cannot see her ever being found. There has been such an extensive search already. The locals have had their eyes and ears open for months now, but nothing! Not one tiny speckle of proof she may be alive. Breaks my heart but genuinely feel that she is dead.
No idea how it happened but wouldn't rule out the idea of Madeleine wandering off. I have a 4 year old niece and when we all went on holiday my niece was asleep in her room in the caravan and we sat outside the caravan having an evening BBQ. (we're not talking 50 yards though - I mean literally on the doorstep of the caravan) When she woke up she got out of bed and walked straight to the door and opened it to my sister. Why wouldn't any other 4 year old do that?
I don't *think* she was drugged, I think she went looking for her mummy but didn't make it due to somebody else intervening.
One thing I will coment on - I was disgusted by the press hounding the car on their journey to the airport yesterday. There are two other children involved in this who are very much alive! They have lost their big sister, been made to live in a foreign country for 4 months, watched mummy and daddy come and go... they shouldn't be put through any more of this hell.
