Buying out of the Army

A friend of a friend of a friend wants to buy himself out of the Army. I think he signed up for 4 or 5 years, and has done one year. Does anyone know how much it would cost

Your friend of a friend of a friend of a friend has the means to make proper enquiries himself through the army channels but in any case he can't buy himself out.

Some parts of the Armed Forces has come to realise that it is better to let disgruntled squaddies leave quickly, quietly and cheaply rather than have a disruptive influence permeating their battalion/regiment, etc.

I had a friend who wanted to leave the army so he commited a minor crime so that he would get discharged.The only problem with that was it was obviously a dishonourable discharge and will maybe cause problems when applying for future employment elsewhere.
